Software Engineer and Product Management Intern (Jul 2023-Present)

Constructed the frontend of apps: one that allows users to input nutritional data and another that gathers health information about a patient from doctors. Developed 2 different databases to store 50+ data types including nutritional, metabolic, and cardiovascular data. Led team of 6 (3 engineers, 2 marketeers, 1 designer) in producing customer reports for 15+ customers. Prioritized showing improvements in health (metabolism, hormone health, cardiovascular health, etc.) and future health goals based on user feedback from 5 clinicians, 7 engineers, and 10+ customers. Utilized AWS (S3, DynamoDB, Cognito), JavaScript (ReactJS, Next.js), Supabase, and building APIs with Lambda integrations.

PRODUCTIVITY STARTUP

Product Development (Apr 2023-Present)

Led a team of 4 (1 high schooler, 2 undergrads, 1 grad student) through agile development for a productivity product that ranks messages based on time sensitivity and priority in 30+ messaging platforms; product is backed by a $1Bn+ fund. Conducted market research by interviewing 10+ potential customers and drove competitor analysis by analyzing 20+ competitors (Spoke.ai, theGist, Superhuman, etc.); learned about 15 key-takeaways and 5 pain points. Pivoted business model and product design 3 times based on 30+ user interviews and designed each iteration using Figma. Supervised under Harpinder Singh and Scott Brady. They are ex-founders of Slice (acquired).

GOAHEAD VENTURES

Venture Capital Intern (Mar-Jun 2023)

Conducted market research in 10+ industries (biotech, edtech, fintech, etc.) and worked directly with managing partners to organize the firm’s deal flow and invest in 15 startups. Scouted 20 startups, analyzed the companies’ fit in the venture’s portfolio, and provided feedback on product features. 

STANFORD SCHOOL OF MEDICINE

Undergraduate Researcher (Jan 2023-Present)

Conducting single cell RNA-seq analysis to analyze differences in T-cell expression and growth between cardiac disease and cancer. Applications include developing a more personalized treatment for cancer. Utilized R (DeSeq2, edgeR, limma, pathview, monocle, MAST). Adviser: Dr. Han Zhu

DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE

Machine Learning and Engineering Intern (Jun-Aug 2022)

Automated a compound microscope to take pictures of samples from various angles, improving efficiency of the microscope by 20% & reducing experimentation time by 10%. Used pictures from the compound microscope to build a K-Nearest Neighbors algorithm to predict the effect of 20+ chemicals on lung surfactant quality with 93% accuracy. Learned how to create chemicals and gather surface tension data from a surfactometer. Utilized C/C++ (VIGRA, CUDA, OpenNI, DLib), SMOTE, and Python (Pandas, Numpy, CuPy). Advisers: Dr. Saber Hussain and Dr. Jayme Coyle.

Director of Professional Development Team (Jan 2023-Present)

Hosted 5 resume workshops and LeetCode prep workshops for 30+ WiCS members to prepare for the tech recruiting process. Provided 20+ coffee chats, panels, and dinners with tech leaders in industry and academia for 100+ members. Leading a product management program for 20 WiCS members so more people learn about design thinking and agile methodology.

Director of Hackspace (May 2023-Present)

Led a team of engineers through the product development process to construct a Gale-Shapley algorithm to match Stanford students that are compatible founders. 70% of matched founders worked together on an entrepreneurial project. Designed and implemented chat boxes and discussion boards using Sketch based on user interviews with 10+ students, increasing interaction between students by 15%. Hosting 15 builder presentations and a “Hackspace Demo Day” with notable venture capital firms for 200+ members. Led a team of 4 engineers to build a LLM that generates a summary of medical research papers using few-shot learning and the OpenAI API with an accuracy of 85%. Conducted 20+ user interviews with doctors and patients leading to 2 iterations of the product and implementation of discussion boards and real-time meetings. Utilized C/C++ (OpenAI, LLAMA), Javascript (express.js), HTML/CSS (Tacit), Intersystems, Dolby, Swift, and Docker.
